EBlink Supports Orange Niger's Network Expansion Program With Wireless Fronthaul System Installation
PARIS --(Business Wire)--
EBlink, the leading supplier of alternative solutions for base station
sites in mobile communication networks, today announced that it recently
installed its wireless fronthaul solution in Orange (News - Alert) Niger's network.
The EBlink wireless fronthaul solution, which is available to mobile
network operators (MNOs) worldwide, provides a connection between the
base station and the network antenna through a wireless link. This
modular system, which helps MNOs control both operating and capital
costs, can be deployed in single-sector or multi-sector configurations.
"This project with our global partner Orange showed once again how
EBlink's wireless fronthaul solution, which can be designed and adapted
to virtually any physical or environmental situation, cuts operator
costs and reduces installation time," said EBlink CEO Alain Rolland.
"In addition to a olution that helps get our network expansion up and
running sooner than traditional coaxial cable systems, we wanted
equipment that would prevent feeder loss and degradation in a hot and
humid climate," said Orange Niger's CTIO Claude Arrigoni. "We are very
pleased with the installation and performance of EBlink's wireless
fronthaul solution."
EBlink's solution allowed Orange Niger to avoid time-consuming and
costly civil works, such as digging trenches and installing cable, to
connect the base station and the network antenna.
About EBlink EBlink develops alternative solutions for the
deployment of base station sites in mobile networks. Created in 2005 and
headquartered near Paris, the company aims to revolutionize mobile
networks by creating a new industry standard: the wireless fronthaul.
EBlink's Wireless Remote Radio Head™ solution builds on the benefits of
remote radio heads and adds the flexibility of a wireless link. It
eliminates the need for coaxial cables or fiber optics by providing a
radio link between base stations located on the ground and the network
antennas. This cuts operating costs and capital costs by dramatically
reducing the amount of time operators spend on site searches, zoning,
negotiation and installation. EBlink products are validated and used by
many mobile operators around the world. The company is based near Paris,
in Boussy-Saint Antoine, France.
