Telx Helps Vision Net Expand Midwestern Market Presence
Vision Net, a provider of telecommunications transport services in Montana, has selected Telx as an interconnection and colocation partner in its 350 East Cermak Road location in Chicago. Telx offers interconnection, colocation and business exchange services in strategic, high demand North American markets. According to the company, its services increase speed to market and reduce connectivity costs. Offering web storage and network equipment colocation, Vision Net offers Montana customers a full suite of communications services, including voice, video and data transport, competitive local access, private lines (T1, DS3 and OC-X), high-speed internet access. The company will make use of Telx's Global Marketplace provider ecosystem in downtown Chicago to process their Transport Services, which seamlessly connect to other regional and national carriers to transport traffic. “Vision Net is a great example of how Telx is enabling the expansion of broadband connectivity to all markets, by working closely with service providers to allow them to expand their reach cost effectively and provide the high performance infrastructure platform and services required to win in the market," said William Kolman, EVP of Sales for Telx.” With the help of Telx colocation center in Chicago, Vison Net can tap into a greater number of carriers when connecting its Montana customer base. Telx provides easy access to major service providers and Vison Net can offer its customers more competitive rates as it can shop around to the more cost-effective carriers. Vision Net can now cost-effectively offer its business communications customers greater connectivity choice through direct access to a wide array of leading carriers currently not available in the Montana area. Recently, the company announced that it has entered an independent marketing partnership agreement with Intelisys Communications (News - Alert), a distributor of business communications services. The Company noted under the terms of the partnership agreement, Telx has engaged Intelisys as a marketing and sales agent on a non-exclusive basis, and Intelisys' Telecom Agents can now offer a carrier-neutral connectivity choice and colocation in all 15 of Telx's North American locations.
