INTERNET TELEPHONY Grants Telx a 2010 Product of the Year Award
Technology Marketing Corporation’s INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine has recognized the Telx Ethernet Exchange with the 2010 Product of the Year Award. Headquartered in New York City, Telx is a premier interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets. With 15 premier facilities, Telx increases speed to market and reduces connectivity costs by providing direct connections to the industry's highest performance networks and access to more than 800 leading telecommunications carriers, ISPs, content providers and enterprises. The most innovative, market-disrupting products and services in the IP communications industry are honored by the award. In the February 2011 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, a complete list of Product of the Year winners is published. Since the year 2008, INTERNET TELEPHONY has been the authority in IP communication. "INTERNET TELEPHONY is proud to grant Telx a 2010 Product of the Year Award for their Ethernet Exchange offering. Telx has proven its commitment to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the service provider marketplace," said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO of TMC, in a press release. "We're happy to recognize and honor Telx for their development of IP communications technology. We look forward to more innovative solutions from them in the future." "Telx's Ethernet Exchange is helping international service providers expand their Ethernet service networks and meet the connectivity demands of their enterprise customers without the time and cost associated with establishing private, network-to-network interface connections," said Glenn Calafati, VP of interconnection services with Telx, in a statement. "We are proud that INTERNET TELEPHONY sees the value of our Ethernet Exchange's one-to-many scalability and the value it provides to our customers who require fast, flexible ways to extend their network reach." In related news, Telx has launched its enhanced Web-based customer portal along with colocation, interconnection, Internet Exchange, dedicated Internet access and Ethernet exchange services.
