Telx Dallas Data Center Improves Network Uptime for Kolder
Kolder, a leading beverage cooler manufacturer, has selected Telx, a leading interconnection and data center provider, to improve network uptime and disaster recovery plan. One of the main reasons Telx was selected was because Telx increases speed to market and reduces connectivity costs by providing direct connections to the industry's highest performance networks. Telx also has access to over 900 leading telecommunications carriers, ISPs, content providers and enterprises. To strengthen the network uptime, Kolder has moved its ERP and back office infrastructure into Telx's data center in Dallas. Kolder also relies on Telx's tech support and disaster recovery services to improve its data and systems backup plan and to optimize overall productivity and business continuity. "Previously, our mission-critical infrastructure was housed internally in a rural location outside of Dallas. This resulted in repeated loss of power due to bad weather, as well as poor bandwidth that could not reliably support our applications. With Telx, we can dramatically limit network downtime while taking advantage of the large variety of service providers and cloud providers that have a presence here,” said Mark Rogers, director of IT for Kolder, in a release. “Telx's Dallas data center is our new infrastructure and connectivity hub due to its convenient and well-connected location. We also value the flexible, cost-effective choices Telx offered us that enable us to scale as we grow. Telx brings together a realm of providers within the data center that opens up options. Bringing our infrastructure to a Telx facility makes scaling our business easier and allows us to focus on core competencies." "Telx welcomes Kolder to our high value community of global customers in Dallas. We are committed to helping enterprise customers like Kolder continue to grow by meeting their data center capacity and reliability needs, allowing them to focus on what they do best,” said William Kolman, executive vice president of Sales for Telx. Kolder is one of the leading manufacturers of high quality beverage insulators and Kooler bags that are distributed to consumer outlets such as grocery stores, gas stations, sporting goods stores, college bookstores and big box retailers across the nation. Kolder's product line consists of both licensed and novelty products. Kolder relies on ERP for manufacturing and merchandising and hence Network uptime is crucial to keep the manufacturing floor on task. Calvin Azuri is a contributing editor for TMCnet.
