CyrusOne Appoints Scott Brueggeman as Chief Marketing Officer
Houston, Texas-based global colocation solutions provider, CyrusOne (News - Alert), tapped former CoreLink VP and marketing veteran Scott Brueggeman to lead its sales and marketing team. CyrusOne specializes in enterprise data center colocation, offering the highest power redundancy (2N architecture) and power-density infrastructure. The company operates 23 facilities across the United States, London and Singapore. CyrusOne is renowned for exemplary customer service. The company’s customers include 15 of the top global 100 companies and four of the top 10. As the new CMO for CyrusOne, Brueggeman will work toward establishing CyrusOne as a world-class brand. “Scott’s marketing leadership experience is in strong alignment with where we are taking CyrusOne in the months and years ahead,” said CEO at CyrusOne Gary Wojtaszek. “By helping our Fortune 1000 enterprise customers better manage the risks associated with global data center operations, we are enabling them to allocate more IT focus and resources on their core business activities. Effectively communicating this value proposition is an integral part of our efforts to develop partnerships with other global businesses and help them optimize the capital and operating costs associated with IT challenges and data center planning.” Brueggeman’s sales and marketing career spans over 20 long years and is marked by the association with a number of Fortune 50 firms, as well as smaller companies, according to a recent statement. At CoreLink Data Centers, Brueggeman served as the vice president of marketing, corporate communications and inside sales. In addition to building a strong brand identity for this company, Brueggeman helped the company expand its acquisition channels and services. Prior to CoreLink, Brueggeman was chief marketing officer at PEAK6 Investments, a high-growth financial services firm. Before that, Brueggeman was senior vice president of marketing for Socrates, which was ultimately sold to a competitor. In addition, Brueggeman was vice president of marketing for CareerBuilder where he launched CareerBuilder’s first national TV ads, which propelled it to become the number-one online job board.
