Telecommunications company CenturyLink is extending its full suite of voice and IP services into five additional CoreSite (News - Alert) data centers, adding to the coverage already offered in the remaining nine North American CoreSite data centers. CoreSite Realty Corporation is a national provider of power, network-rich data centers.

"Extending our relationship with CenturyLink brings our customers best-in-class networking solutions," said Brian Warren, vice president of Product Management at CoreSite. "Providing our customers a choice of services across markets from the top telecommunications extended carriers is an important part of CoreSite's network-centric computing platform."

As of now, CenturyLink offers voice and IP services in CoreSite facilities located in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Jose, Denver, New York and Milpitas, CA (News - Alert). This extended agreement, however, will see CenturyLink providing services in Reston, VA, Washington, DC and Boston, along with additional service in Los Angeles, as of December. In January 2013, CenturyLink will also expand services to new CoreSite facilities in the San Francisco Bay area.

"This expanded relationship with CoreSite will help CenturyLink customers utilizing these data centers meet their unique managed services requirements by having access to our full suite of services including Internet and MPLS, metro and long-haul private lines, 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps connections, burstable or static bandwidth, and voice and IP services," said Blake Wetzel, vice president of Sales, CenturyLink Channel Alliance. "Additionally, CoreSite and CenturyLink customers will benefit from a variety of long-term pricing options and deployments, giving customers access to CoreSite's extensive mesh of interconnection for the networking and cloud communities."

Recently, CoreSite appointed Christopher Ancell as senior vice president of sales and sales engineering, bringing 28 years of experience leading business units and sales organizations to the table. The company also recently reported its third quarter financial results, which included revenue of $53.8 million.
