Hudson Fiber Provides Low Latency and Short Fiber Routes to New Jersey

A few months ago, the NYSE announced that it was opening its Mahwah facility to outside carriers serving remote financial locations in New Jersey and now that has become a reality, thanks to Hudson Fiber Network fulfilling its part of the commitment to deliver low latency, high bandwidth network solutions to its financial customers throughout North America.

Hudson Fiber Network (HFN), a premier U.S.-based transport and IP services provider, will now enable direct connections from the Mahwah facility to Weehawken, Carteret, Newark and Secaucus.

Each New Jersey route will see reductions in latency leading to optimal fiber performance. This is testimony to HFN's dedication to providing clients with top tier services with the lowest possible latency.

“In an industry focused on speed and efficiency, it is our goal to work towards consistent fiber latency improvement of our services,” said Brett Diamond, president at HFN.

As a result, service providers can access the four new paths via the Mahwah facility at very fast speeds with the lowest fiber latency connectivity possible. The Mahwah locations are expected to be live in  February 2013.

The ultra low-latency fast path between Secaucus and Weehawken will result in a 25 to 30 percent decrease in route distance and is expected to be ready in January 2013.

"Each of these new routes will set a new standard for fiber low-latency in New Jersey. HFN customers will have a competitive edge due to vastly improved fiber low-latency that we are able to provide them with. A 22 to 55 percent fiber latency decrease will be a major difference for our customers," added Diamond.

Recently, Hudson Fiber Network (HFN) announced its partnership with Cross River Fiber to provide connectivity from Mahwah, NJ to three remote financial locations in Secaucus, Newark and Carteret. Customers will choose from dark fiber, lit services and passive wave circuits along the new routes. Limited fibers are available on the new paths through pre-sales.
