Integra Telecom Uses CA Technologies's Infrastructure Management Solution
In order to offer optimum IT environments, from mainframe and distributed to virtual and cloud, Integra Telecom (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise-grade networking, communications and cloud solutions to more than 100,000 business and carrier customers in 11 Western states, is using CA (News - Alert) Infrastructure Management to assure the availability and performance of its service delivery infrastructure and the traffic it supports. Integra offers a 5,000-mile high-speed long haul fiber network and a 3,000-mile metropolitan access network, including nearly 1,700 fiber-fed buildings. The company leverages this extensive network to expand its product portfolio; it recently introduced Ethernet Services and a Cloud Firewall Service. According to a press release, CA Infrastructure Management provides Integra to take care of its high customer loyalty and satisfaction ratings by enhancing its ability to measure and report on network performance and control potential service-impacting incidents across its infrastructure, end-to-end. "Businesses rate reliability as the most important factor in choosing a voice and data communications provider," said Jay Allen, engineering director, Integra Telecom. "We chose CA Technologies (News - Alert) to help ensure the delivery of clear, fast and dependable hosted and cloud services. With the implementation jointly performed by CA Services and our own team, we now have a cost-effective service assurance solution that improves our efficiency and delivers better quality and more reliable service to our customers." CA Spectrum (News - Alert) and CA eHealth are the key components of CA Infrastructure Management. "Integra engaged CA Services to design, install and configure CA Infrastructure Management and provide a fast, efficient path toward time-to-value," said Matt Strazza, general manager, CA Services, CA Technologies. "Our project team collaborated with the Integra team to deliver a solution that replaces a more expensive platform and creates savings for Integra. The solution also supports the growth of Integra's network and ultimately its business." CA Infrastructure Management offers Integra with 24x7 infrastructure monitoring; automated alerts to potential performance problems; and automated, model-based root cause analysis. "We are pleased that Integra recognized the business value of our solutions," said Mike Sargent, general manager, Service Assurance, CA Technologies. "Our solutions are easy to install and maintain and provide a sophisticated level of performance management that enables Integra to realize significant initial and long-term savings, while providing customers with better quality services."
