Motorola Mobility and WESCO Unveil Carrier Ethernet Portfolio

Motorola (News - Alert) Mobility, in association with TVC Communications, an ancillary of WESCO International, will be delivering a Carrier Ethernet portfolio. Service providers can utilize this back-to-back component system for gaining a competitive edge in the sophisticated business services and mobile backhaul offerings market, worth at least $130 billion.
"Businesses want relationships with service providers that can provide highly resilient Ethernet connectivity ranging from tens of megabits to gigabits,” Joe Cozzolino, SVP and GM at Network Infrastructure Solutions at Motorola Mobility, said in a statement. “Through our strategic agreement with WESCO's TVC Communications, Motorola's Carrier MEF (News - Alert) Certified Ethernet solution offers service providers the flexibility to service business customers or mobile operators with low-cost deployment opportunities via existing outside plant or new fiber builds addressing various business services applications. With Motorola's end-to-end business services portfolio customers can launch new, revenue-generating business services quickly, easily and cost-effectively."
A back-to-back MEF Certified offering will be delivered by Motorola’s Carrier Ethernet portfolio. Service providers will therefore be able to implement affordable Ethernet and TDM services for business clients and mobile carriers. Motorola’s Carrier Ethernet portfolio comprises of a string of aggregation switches, client premises differentiation products, a best-in-class service management platform, and a pioneering 10 Gbps Carrier Ethernet switch that can be implemented in the HFC fiber node.
Service providers can now expand uninterrupted Multi-Protocol Label Switching and Virtual Private LAN Service to the periphery of their network with Motorola's extensive assortment of Carrier Ethernet products.
Motorola’s Carrier Ethernet portfolio will assist service providers in augmenting scalability and assisting a perfect multi-service network as well.
