Transtelco, a fully integrated enterprise that’s simplifying the world of telecommunications, has announced the completion of construction of its high-capacity metropolitan fiber optic network in Mexico City, Mexico.

The high capacity metropolitan multi-duct, multi-ring fiber optic network will serve wholesale and enterprise customers of Transtelco in Mexico’s largest city. This new state-of-the-art infrastructure adds significant capacity to Mexico City at low costs. Transtelco will now be able to offer competitive solutions for Metro Ethernet, Transport, IP Access (News - Alert), Content Delivery, Voice, Collocation, and IT Services.

The organization will be connecting Mexico City to its U.S. Network through Reynosa-McAllen and Nuevo Laredo-Laredo via its cross border fibers.

The combination of Transtelco’s Fiber Optic Network and cutting-edge technology will deliver exceptional results and provide significant return on investment opportunities for its customers. The continued expansion of Mexico City’s broadband infrastructure boosts Mexico’s image as a future ready, world-class city, and positions it as one of Mexico’s leading business destinations.

The newly constructed high-capacity metropolitan fiber optic network will enable Transtelco to offer different kinds of services over a significantly wider range of locations in Mexico and United States. It is in a better position now to serve its end users, as U.S.-based service providers can now reach businesses based in regions served by Transtelco with ease.

“Mexico City is one of Mexico and Latin America’s premier business destinations. The expansion of Transtelco’s network into this critical market allows Transtelco to expand its footprint in an important manner while offering new services and solutions to a growing customer base at competitive rates,” said Edgar Mosti, vice president of Wholesale Network Services, Transtelco.

“We are very excited within the Enterprise Sales Team with this new step taken by the company. We are confident that the combination of our Next-Generation Telecommunications services, excellent technical support and the best workforce in the Industry will bring value to the needs of our customers,” said Alejandro Guzman, vice president of Enterprise Network Services, Transtelco.

Transtelco combines products and services such as voice, data, Internet and collocation services, and offers unparalleled solutions over a next-generation platform to enable its clients to meet their profitability and growth goals.

Transtelco’s strategic and geographic focus is the entire southern United States, to the Mexico Border, and now into central Mexico.
