Following the success of Sumitomo’s previous fiber connectors, it has announced the release of its new 4th Level Data Center Solutions product line.
4th Level Solutions will provide the same support as Sumitomo’s previous fiber connector, Lynx2, but with even more integration and scalabilities that industries need in the ever-changing realm of technology. The product has been designed to increase speed, save space, and provide the performance required by high-density data centers.
“Our goal is to offer data center managers, design engineers, and installers the freedom and control to customize, rapidly change, repair and restore the network infrastructure in real-time without the logistic delays and the fixed and inflexible solutions of the past,” said Joshua Seawell, director of the Lightwave Network Products division at Sumitomo Electric (News - Alert) Lightwave. “With the launch of the 4th Level product line, Sumitomo Electric Lightwave has achieved this goal, meeting the needs of its customers for new and better technology.”
The new line is hoped to be a more efficient and inexpensive solution to customize optical fiber infrastructure migration from 10Gbit/s to 40 and 100 Gbit/s and higher. In order to do so, the solution creates flexibility for real-time adjustments, exact length cable builds, and immediate connectivity that data center systems with pre-terminated cable and plug n play solutions can no longer provide.
To help market the new line, Electric Lightwave’s marketing team has designed a new logo and 4th Level Network Solutions (News - Alert) Optical Fiber Infrastructure Guide for users to understand the complete workings of fiber connections.
