A global IT and telecommunications services companies, NTT Communications (News - Alert) specializes in IP networking, consultancy, architecture, security and cloud services that are required by enterprise customers and service providers. NTT’s IPv4/IPv6 Global Tier-1 IP Network and over 130 secure data centers enable these services.
Chris Lathrop, Sr. Director Network Infrastructure, NTT Communications Global IP Network for NTT America (News - Alert) said, “As NTT Communications continues extending its global footprint to meet increasing data demand, we selected Hibernia Networks to expand our network infrastructure because of its technology, experience and personalized support.”
The deployment will support NTT’s European expansion and the NTT Communications Global IP Network (GIN). Hibernia Networks is expected to offer multiple terrestrial and subsea crossing routes to provide network diversity.
“We required a diverse route from key European points to the west coast of the US, and Hibernia was able to design complex solutions that would encompass multiple routes,” Lathrop added.
Carriers and service providers can use the reliable network technology delivered by Hibernia to benefit from its optimized services. The networks feature redundant ring architecture and direct access to over 120 points of presence across North America, Europe and Asia. Hibernia’s services ensure secure and diverse dedicated Ethernet, DTM and optical-level services, including GigE, 10G and LanPhy wavelengths and traditional SONET/SDH services, said officials.
Eric Gutshall, President of Wholesale for Hibernia Networks remarked, “By providing NTT Communications with our carefully engineered diverse network capacity, Hibernia plays a pivotal role in meeting maximum uptime for their clients along with furthering positive customer experiences. The additional Hibernia capacity serves to link NTT Communications’ Asia, US and European markets.”
Hibernia added CME Group, a diverse derivatives marketplace as a new Point of Presence (PoP) on its Global Financial Network (GFN) in August 2012. Hibernia is now able to provide direct, ultra-low latency connectivity up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet into CME Group’s new data center located in Aurora, Illinois.
