Gefen's New Selection of Solution Products
For businesses looking to improve computer accessibility anywhere in the building, Gefen (News - Alert) provides a new solution that streams KVM signals over a Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure. Gefen is a supplier of a selection of splitters, extenders, converters, KVM, digital signage and home theater accessories that enable audio/video and computer systems to be easily integrated, extended and distributed to increase performance capabilities. Its newest products on the market are the latest advancements in its business solutions sector. The three solutions, the HDMI KVM over IP; DVI KVM over IP and VGA KVM over IP extenders, efficiently extends peripherals over CAT-5 cable to access computer video, audio, and control from any room within the LAN, with high definition resolution up to 1080p. "Any one of these new KVM over IP extenders provides accessibility between different rooms, switching and broadcasting information using up to 16 sender and receiver combinations," said Hagai Gefen, president, Gefen. "You can also place sender and receiver units up to 200 meters apart through the Gigabit switch for increased distances." Each of the video formats (VGA, DVI, and HDMI) can easily be interchanged between sender and receiver units to create a multi-format system integration. Up to 16 senders and receivers can be used in a network and for advanced users, the units can be configured to a unique IP address and support two USB ports. The sender and receiver unites connect to each other through a CAT-5 cable or Ethernet, after installation the units can be mounted or simply placed on desktop units.
