With so many companies opting for 40Gbps and 100Gbps network connections, the need for solutions to troubleshoot such networks is bound to be on the rise in the near future. In what appears to be a move to harness the potential in this market that is still in its dawn hours, EXFO Inc. announced the introduction of the FTB-88100NGE Power Blazer Multiservice Test Module.

The solution goes to record as the smallest field-testing gadget ever in the industry. With support for 10M to 100G rates packed into a single module, the FTB-88100NGE Power Blazer covers a vast range of networking technologies from SONET/SDH to Ethernet.

With its easy to use GUI interface, it delivers top-notch flexibility, remote management and integrated optical tools all in a battery operated package. In addition to this, the solution is compatible with other modules like the optical spectrum analyzer and EXFO Connect making it perfect for field commissioning and turn-up.

Now that tech innovations are changing by the day, companies are very keen in the acquisition of such solutions for fear it becomes incompatible with newer technologies. This will not be the case with the FTB-88100NGE Power Blazer. EXFCO assures that the module will be perfectly compatible with innovations in the up to 100G spectrum.

Etienne Gagnon (News - Alert), the VP, test and measurement division, expressed the company’s awareness of the kind of challenges customers are facing in the implementation of these new and complex technologies. With the launch of the FTB-88100NGE Power Blazer, the company gives customers a portable means of testing and correcting networks with ease.

The need for a fast Internet connection is on the rise and will likely continue to rise as more and more people start using data intensive applications deployed either from their desktops or from portable devices. This, in turn, will demand carriers to deliver the needed bandwidth on demand with no excuse for breakdowns whatsoever. Implementing a 40Gbps plus infrastructure is one thing. Keeping it up and running is another, and the latter needs the services of portable and efficient devices like the FTB-88100NGE Power Blazer to actualize.
