Service fulfillment is a major aspect of business for IT companies all over the world. In these days of intense competition, telecom operators cannot risk to lose their customers by not fulfilling their expectations. Hence, they are often pushed to the brink and look for expert assistance.

Looking to support IP Service Fulfillment solutions, Swisscom (News - Alert) (Switzerland) Ltd has signed a long-term software maintenance agreement with NetCracker Technology. Earlier, NetCracker (News - Alert) partnered with Swisscom on numerous difficult projects, which involved Fiber and Copper IP Service Fulfillment and Assurance solution projects.

Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd provides various Internet based services to its users. The company makes use of NetCracker Telecom Operations and Management Solution (TOMS) to enhance its strategic All-IP program. According to this new partnership, the company will make use of NetCracker’s Technology to improve the profits of its investment in this solution.

According to the agreement, NetCracker has also agreed to provide complete support for Swisscom’s systems which provide advanced converged, IP-based services. Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd is Switzerland’s biggest telecom service provider and operator.

NetCracker has more than two decades of experience in providing Service Management/OSS products and solutions. The company makes use of its Service Layer Transformation experience to provide its Service Fulfillment & Assurance suite.

“Swisscom’s decision to continue its partnership with NetCracker is a true testament to the value they place on our knowledge, expertise, and technical ability,” said Sylvain Seignour, NetCracker’s VP Americas and Europe. “This new agreement will not only lower OpEx and CapEx, but will also enable Swisscom to focus on the evolution of their network infrastructure and the expansion of their business.”
