Towerstream Corporation Completes Acquisition of Delos Internet

Towerstream Corporation, a 4G and Small Cell Rooftop Tower company, has acquired Delos Internet (Delos).
Delos Internet is a provider of high speed Internet and private point to point data circuits to businesses throughout the Houston area. The company owns and operates a state of the art fixed microwave network with connectivity throughout the city. The company’s high performance gigabit network provides a reliable alternative to traditional copper providers but with much faster speeds.
"We are pleased to close the Delos acquisition which expands our national presence to 13 markets including 9 of the 10 largest in the country," said Joseph Hernon, chief financial officer, in a statement.
Hernon said that this marks the company’s fifth acquisition to date and the company continues to seek opportunities in existing and new markets.
Towerstream owns, operates, and leases Wi-Fi and Small Cell rooftop tower locations to cellular phone operators, tower, Internet and cable companies and hosts a variety of customers on its network.
Towerstream was originally founded in 2000 to deliver fixed-wireless high-speed Internet access to businesses, and to date offers superior broadband services in over 13 urban markets including New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago , Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay area, Miami, Seattle, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Nashville, Las Vegas-Reno and the greater Providence area. Earlier in December 2011, Towerstream Corporation had announced that it has completed its acquisition of substantially all of the business assets of Color Broadband Communications (News - Alert), Inc. (Color Broadband).
The acquired business assets include substantially all of Color Broadband's customer contracts, network infrastructure, and related assets in the Los Angeles market.
