Internet service provider Brainstorm Internet will be offering 100Mbps Internet service and its hosted PBX (News - Alert) phone service to business users in Cortez, Colorado.

Brainstorm Internet is a FORETHOUGHT.net company, an independent locally owned Internet, cloud and communications service provider in Colorado. FORETHOUGHT.net specializes in the provision of enterprise-level cloud hosting, colocation, Internet, voice and data solutions.

Jawaid Bayzar, president of Brainstorm Internet said, “Given our innovative approach to delivering Internet and phone service, we are positioned well to provide more for less to the business community in Cortez.”

“In 2014, we are actively pursuing our vision is to light up Colorado and Northern New Mexico with our fiber and to minimize the digital divide created by low speed Internet,” Bayzar added.

Brainstorm Internet strives to improve its services by augmenting its infrastructure and network so that subscribers at homes and businesses will receive the most flexible solutions. Subscribers will benefit from a reliable and affordable high-speed Internet service and phone service provided by a local provider.

Owing to the extensive peering and MPLS network of Brainstorm Internet, the delivery of the lowest latency (less than 5 milliseconds) services is possible in Colorado for the company, said officials.

The average download speed is approximately 7.4 megabits per second and much lower in mountain regions. These fast Internet speeds are only possible if the “last mile” that is the wiring that connects a building to the rest of a telecommunications network is made of fiber optic cable. Brainstorm Internet plans to deliver its fiber optic broadband throughout the Front Range and Western Slope.

The company announced plans to provide gigabit fiber Internet broadband in downtown Durango, Colorado, in October, 2013. The first buildings to receive gigabit fiber are 1099 Main Street and 1199 Main Street (the Bank of Colorado Building). All the packages delivered by Brainstorm Internet will have no bandwidth caps, no throttling and no hidden charges.
