Cemaphore Systems today announced the pricing and availability of the company’s new MailShadow for Google (

Alert) Apps, “MailShadowG.”
An Outlook Add-in, MailShadowG fully synchronizes Exchange email, calendars and contacts between Outlook, Exchange and Gmail, according to the company. Company officials said that MailShadowG is the “first Web services-based e-mail continuity and disaster recovery solution to fully utilize Google Apps cloud-based services.”
The solution is designed to offer e-mail users continuity, content management and portability of e-mail. Officials said that the MailShadow’s transaction-based architecture synchronizes all content bi-directionally in real-time.
Also, company officials say, content is protected and can be viewed transparently from Outlook or through Google’s Web interfaces for Gmail, contacts and Google Calendar.
“We are extremely pleased that our beta process has moved smoothly and we have received excellent feedback, allowing us to bring MailShadowG to the market as quickly as possible continuity,” said Tyrone Pike, president and chief executive officer at Cemaphore.
He said that the response to company’s announcement and beta program has far exceeded company’s expectations. According to Pike, response has validated “our expectations of the keen market need to make the highest level of e-mail continuity available the cloud with zero infrastructure.”
Earlier in May, the company, on the heels of Cemaphore’s Beta1 launch, announced that it would begin its Beta2 program as planned for the end of June. Company officials say that since the beta program received strong results, that more than 2,300 participants have signed up for Beta2, and so Cemaphore officials are planning to make its Beta2 program a public release.
For the first year, Beta2 participants will be allowed to purchase the product at the discounted price of $29.95 per seat. Following Beta2, general availability is anticipated to begin at the end of Q3 2008 at the annual license price of $49.95, according to officials.
This year in March, Cemaphore Systems introduced MailShadow for Google (MailShadowG), touting it as the first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (

Alert)) email continuity and disaster recovery solution utilizing the Google Apps cloud-based services.
