USDA Telecommunications Standards Committee Approves Trango System's Licensed Microwave Products
San Diego, Calif. -based Trango Systems, Inc., a provider of high-capacity point-to-point wireless backhaul solutions, reportedly announced that its licensed microwave products namely, TrangoLINK Apex, TrangoLINK Giga and TrangoLINK-45, have been accepted by the USDA telecommunications standards committee.
According to Trango (News - Alert), these American-made solutions are now accepted by the Technical Standards Committee “A”- Telecommunications for inclusion in the Rural Utilities Service list of materials. With acceptance from USDA RUS, Trango’s Apex (News - Alert), Giga and TrangoLINK-45 product families can be purchased with RUS loans as well as grants.
The Rural Utilities Service supports the expansion of broadband service in rural areas through financing and grants to projects, under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The projects that have won the grand can provide access to high speed service and facilitate economic development in locations without sufficient access to broadband service.
“Trango is proud that our licensed wireless backhaul solutions are now available for sale to eligible rural communities,” said Zdravko Divjak (News - Alert), president and CEO of Trango Systems, Inc., in a press release. “With RUS acceptance, we can help rural operators accomplish their broadband goals and enable them to offer their customers the same quality and range of broadband services that are available in metropolitan areas.”
Earlier, Trango’s fixed wireless broadband access products also had got approval from USDA RUS, apart from the latest approved wireless backhaul products.
The TrangoLINK Apexis is a carrier-class RF microwave link. This all-outdoor point-to-point IP-native bridge is available in licensed frequencies 11, 15, 18 and 23GHz - for interference-free operation.
Utilizing a split-mount architecture that includes on outdoor unit and an indoor, the TrangoLINK Giga point-to-point wireless bridge is available in 6, 11, 15, 18 and 23GHz models. It offers high capacity wireless IP connectivity for mobile and fixed wireless technologies including UMTS, 3G, 4G, LTE (News - Alert), WiMAX, Wi-Fi and more.
TheTrangoLINK-45 is a 5GHz wireless Ethernet bridge that delivers 45 Mbps of sustained usable data throughput using OFDM technology.
