Mintera and Fujitsu Partner to Provide Live Traffic Over Commercial U.S. Network
Mintera Corporation, a provider of high performance optical transport systems solutions, recently announced that they had breached a significant milestone. Their live 40 Gbps traffic is now being transported by a commercial U.S. network that has been built using technology from Fujitsu and incorporating Mintera's latest MI 4000XM Adaptive DPSK module. Fujitsu lends its FLASHWAVE 7500 Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) technology to the network.

Covage Deploys ADVA FSP 3000 Across its Metro Network Infrastructure
French carrier Covage announced that it has deployed the ADVA FSP 3000 throughout most metropolitan regions in France. This metro network infrastructure is expected to connect customers to the national backbone, company officials said.

Clarks Deploys BTI Solution for Supporting FTTH Triple Play Network Backhaul
BTI Systems reportedly announced that Nebraska-based Clarks Telecommunications Company has deployed a BTI 7000 Series solution for supporting Fiber to the Home or FTTH triple play network backhaul. BTI is a supplier of Intelligent Service Edge solutions for delivering high bandwidth, multi-protocol services. Clarks is an Independent Operating Company which offers local telephone, wired and wireless broadband internet access, digital cable and long distance phone services to Clarks, Ulysses and Weston, Nebraska.

According to Lexent officials, "To improve traffic flow in the city during the busy holiday season, the New York City Department of Transportation restricts street and sidewalk construction from November 20 through January 2 from 6 a.m. to midnight."

Allied Fiber Overview

Allied Fiber was created to address America’s need to eliminate obstacles for broadband access, wireless backhaul and lower latency through new, next generation long haul dark fiber construction with sound principles and an open access philosophy.
