Level 3 Communications Buys Global Crossing
Level 3 Communications (News The Global Crossing (News Level 3 competes in 190 current markets, where Global Crossing competes in 700. The deal will do more to increase Level 3's undersea and long-haul operations than its metro transport and access facilities, as Global Crossing has a relatively small metro footprint, compared to Level 3. The deal also adds revenue bulk. In 2010, Level 3 had $3.65 billion in revenue, compared to Global Crossing with $2.6 billion in revenue.
