Miranda Integrates Telecast Fiber Systems Brand
By Raju Shanbhag
Recently, Miranda Technologies (News - Alert) announced that Telecast Fiber Systems will be formally combined into Miranda as a product brand on January 1, 2013. Henceforth, the Telecast product line will be called Miranda Technologies’ Telecast Fiber Systems.
Telecast systems are the product of intensive research, in the field and in customers' facilities. They provide a complete family of fiber optic communications systems that offer transmission of virtually all the signals used in television broadcast production.
This includes everything from the latest in digital video technology to the most basic of intercom systems interfaces.
Telecast will reportedly be a major product under its umbrella. The company’s product portfolio is now equipped with the only solutions portfolio in the industry that links broadcast and related workflows from content acquisition through playout.
The combination of the Telecast solutions consists of fiber optic camera-to-control connectivity and remote control features. It also includes the Miranda portfolio of routing, infrastructure and monitoring solutions which offer unique opportunities for Miranda users.
“Our rapid integration of Telecast products goes far beyond a simple branding change,” said Marco Lopez, president of Miranda. “Just a few months after our acquisition by Belden, we’re providing our customers with seamless access to Telecast solutions, transitioning not only product development but also sales, customer service and technical support. We’ll leverage our combined resources to continue improving services for our customers.”
In 2009, the company partnered with Mixed Signals to develop a solution that allows video service providers to ensure that they provide an outstanding quality for viewers. Mixed Signals officials announced that to create a complete and cost-effective monitoring solution, the solution has been combined with the company’s Sentry digital content monitor with Miranda’s proven iControl Quality of Experience monitoring system.
