T-REx serves the needs of 90 startup companies and several entrepreneurs. Users will be benefiting from faster broadband speeds enabled by two dark fiber cables deployed by Arch Fiber. T-REx entrepreneurs will be able to develop their businesses further from the optimized broadband connectivity.
Dark fiber solutions from Arch Fiber Networks, ensures that users can deliver reliable connections to their respective customers. The fiber system connects neutral colocation carriers and central switching centers to many local office buildings in the St. Louis metro area.
The two types of dark fiber provided by Arch Networks are multi-mode fiber and single-mode fiber, which are deployed to users based on need and distances to be covered. Multi-mode fiber suits short transmission distances and is used in LAN systems and video surveillance.
The single-mode fiber is suited for longer transmission distances and is deployed for long-distance telephony and multi-channel television broadcast systems. Multi-mode fiber features numerous modes where light rays are carried simultaneously through the waveguide. Modes refer to the light that propagates in the fiber core at discrete angles within the cone of acceptance.
