Array Announces Availability of AVX10650 Multi-tenant ADC Appliance
By Rahul Arora
Array Networks (News - Alert) Inc., a company that provides application delivery networking solutions, recently announced that its AVX10650 multi-tenant application delivery controller (ADC (News - Alert)) appliance is now available.
The AVX10650 multi-tenant application delivery controller powers eight fully partitioned ADC instances to support multiple load-balancing-as-a-service (LBaaS) tenants, enterprise departments or applications, or similar shared environments. Each instance can support its own version of the ArrayOS operating system, and has its own dedicated input/output, CPU, memory, and SSL resources to provide guaranteed performance and throughput in multi-tenant environments.
The AVX10650 application delivery controller can protect against denial of service (DoS) and malformed URL attacks, and allow a wide range of Layer 2 through Layer 7 protective policies to be stacked atop one another for increased security. The solution also features extensive access control lists, network address translation and stateful packet flow inspection, all executed at the kernel level to guard against attacks and unauthorized access, without impacting performance or scalability.
“Array’s approach to multi-tenancy separates itself from its competitors by ensuring that each instance has its own dedicated hardware resources,” notes Michael Zhao, CEO of Array Networks. “Many vendors claim to support many more instances on their multi-tenant appliances; however, there is an apparent lack of controls to enforce how resources are allocated to each instance. Service providers can never truly be confident that they can offer performance SLAs because of this extremely important void in other multi-tenant appliances. The AVX10650 guarantees that the performance capability of each instance can be stated with certainty, ensuring that the appliance can be used to support demanding customers and mission critical applications.”
In related news, Array Networks declared that it has offered "total solutions" to Toshiba (News - Alert), as well as assisted them in migrating to the new scalable AG platform, facilitating safe remote access. Array Networks AG series Secure Access Gateway's solution, called AccessDirect, was deployed for approximately 500 concurrent users to make it safe for the partners accessing the network.
